Things to Check Out in Downtown Savannah

A few fun things to check out in Downtown Savannah

The hubby and I went downtown the other day and went to several really cool places. We always have such a great time in Savannah just walking around eating things we shouldn't and sometimes having more beers than we should -- Just keeping it real. First we headed to Forsyth Park for a three mile jog/kinda walk. Forsyth is a pretty large park and it's a must see in Savannah.

Next stop, The Chive Bar and Lounge for some grub and a few drinks. I opted for the lunch Ahi Tuna Salad which was cooked perfectly and the salad greens were fresh and delicious. Totally worth the money. I think it was around $14. Jason ordered the Crispy Chicken which was

OMG so good! It was like a cleaner version of Asian food. Again, very fresh and amazing. We had 2 dark beers (I think it was a Dragon's Milk Bourbon barrel stout on tap, but don't quote me). We decided to skip dessert and headed off to get some local Savannah honey.

While we were in route, we came across this really neat place called Lowcountry Gourmet Foods. They have 2 huge walls of infused balsamic vinegars and olive oils imported from Italy. The balsamic vinegars are to die for. I picked up a small bottle of the strawberry walnut balsamic vinegar for a quick and easy salad dressing.

Next was the Savannah Rae's Gourmet Popcorn store where they have LOTS of popcorn flavors and you can taste whichever ones you want. The employees and the manager were so friendly too. It was a great place and we will be back! Sorry the photo is sideways, but I can't seem to get it to flip. I will have to fix that later. Oops. I wish I had taken more photo's of the evening, but I didn't. Sad face here. Here is my hubby striking a pose for me. We also checked out the World of Beers Restaurant which is a really cool place to try lots of different beers.

We ended the evening down by the water where I had to do a Team Webinar on my phone. It's awesome being able to work and connect with them no matter where I am. I really wish I had a photo of this going down. Lol! People were walking by and I am just shouting at my phone screen. Ahhh thats the stuff.
So, if you want some fun stuff to do in Savannah, head downtown and check out these small local businesses. Also, while you are there, make sure to head down to river street and take the free ferry boat across the water. It's just fun to do and it's FREEE! :D And if you see some crazy blonde woman talking to her phone screen very passionately, come say hi :D
