Ever wonder what Shaun T's, creator of Insanity, fridge looks like? 


Abs are made in the kitchen, or at least that's what everyone keeps telling me. I used to workout so I could eat whatever I wanted, but this method can only take you so far with fitness and once you get to a certain age, it doesn't work as well either. 

Shaun T stresses that water intake is vital! You need to be drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day. Some experts say you should drink half your body weight in ounces. He also recommends eating lots of bell peppers and oranges to help with free radicals, cucumbers, and sweet potatoes. 

He recommends eating more carbs in the mornings. Here is a good rule of thumb when you are planning your meals. (This info was taken from Dr OZ's website)

Breakfast consists of:
40% carbohydrates
30% protein
30% fat

Here's the example meal that totals 600 calories:

  • Whole wheat bagel and 2 tbsp of all-natural peanut butter
  • 5 egg whites with a half-cup of bell peppers
  • 3 slices of lean turkey bacon

Lunch consists of:
24% carbohydrates
45% protein
30% fat

This example meal totals 450 calories:

  • Open-faced roast beef sandwich
  • ½ tbsp ranch dressing
  • whole wheat crackers
  • 5 oz of low-fat Greek yogurt 

Dinner consists of:
15% carbohydrates
55% protein
30% fat

For a 350 calorie meal, try these foods:

  • Spinach salad with half-cup of fresh tofu and 1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup cooked zucchini
  • ½ cup cooked asparagus
  • Half a salmon filet

Just finished my last Combat workout for the week. Thought I'd take some fun pics to share. I'm still loving the workouts, and I'm seeing some changes in my body already.
