When you're browning turkey or lean ground beef go ahead and cook 2 to 3 packages at a time and save the cooked meat in freezer bags for future meals.
I want you to start thinking about the concept of cooking once and eating twice. It makes life so much easier when your are in a pinch and you need a quick meal. You can just take out this ground meat, quickly thaw and make tacos, pasta sauce, lettuce wraps, salads or pita pizzas… Just to name a few examples.
This also works great for cooking grilled chicken breast. Slice up into 3-4 ounce servings and individually freeze in bags or containers.
